The following is quoted from the official McAfee website:

Stress ball

Wednesday, 28 November 2007

My mother gave me a cute, black, squishy rubber stress ball.

*squish* *squash* *squish*

Whee!

I still have a headache but it doesn’t hurt that much now.

Nothing but hard work

Thursday, 22 November 2007

PSLE results are out today. Turns out the top student is from my old school (St. Hilda’s Primary) with a record-breaking 294 out of 300 points.

Read more here.

Great. Nice to see people get what they deserve for their hard work.

I got my results back today for my weakest module. As expected, I failed it again. One last chance coming up in the form of my final exam in January.

Don’t **** up, Ruby.

Go around twice if you’re happy

This was a featured video on Youtube, where the makers “tried to prove that while parrots repeat, cars talk”.

I wonder why they did it… Maybe they just felt anonymous from the safety of their cars?

Learning about yourself through the stars

Several of my friends are discussing the topic of love on their blogs. I don’t really feel like talking about it now so I’ll reserve my comments for another time (or whoever asks for them).

A few of my classmates are floored by the accuracy of their horoscope traits from this website ever since one of them posted the link to it on his blog. It points out the personalities of each zodiac sign and the best and worst relationship matches (based on zodiac sign) for each. I’m wondering how accurate these things are, since I’ve visited several websites and read a few books on Astrology. Each of those have told me something different in terms of which sign works best with which, although the general personality traits for the zodiac signs is more of less similar throughout.

Not everyone born under a certain sign is of the same personality. Other factors such as birth month, name, day, time and in a more scientific sense, your upbringing, culture, religion and environment shapes your views on life and how you react to situations. Personality tests such as Myer-Briggs, Tickle.com tests or even Blogthings are different, as they give a result based on how one answers the questions, not predict how one would answer them.

Anyway, the zodiac website is still an interesting read. See if the traits listed there matches yours! (Side note: You might want to avoid the other links provided on the website. Some of them aren’t very, er, family-friendly.)

Random Thought

I wonder if I should get out of the habit of messaging/emailing/contacting people in some way in the wee hours of the morning.

Blogthings - What Makes You A Good Friend?

Got this off Izzat’s blog. Ignore the coincidental timing of this quiz and the last few sentences of my previous post. Just thought I’d try it out before I go to sleep.

This is one of those Blogthings so let me know how accurate my results are (although I took it for fun, the few number of questions isn’t really enough to be very specific). I can’t be bothered to analyze the results much. It’s way too general and I’m too tired to be start overthinking something else now.

You Are a Good Friend Because You’re Accepting

No matter what a friend says or does, you try your best to understand it.
And your friends feel like they can tell you anything. You don’t judge. You know that friendship is a journey - with a lot of ups and downs.

If you and a friend grow apart, you get over it quickly… and leave the potential for future friendship open.

You tend to have many friends from many walks of life. Anyone you meet is could become a friend.

In fact, you are especially interested in people who are a little different than you. Seeing life from another perspective is something you cherish.

Your friends need you most when: They can’t turn to anyone else with their secrets

You really can’t be friends with: Dogmatic, stubborn people

Your friendship quote: “Love is blind, but friendship closes its eyes.”

What Makes You a Good Friend?

Sometimes I hate being a mere human-being

I only managed to get 1 hour of sleep last night. Somehow, I still managed to get through school as if I had fully-rested. Like Ning said, talk about a power nap.

So what happened to the other lost hours of sleep?

I was suffering from a horrible headache as my brain forced a speeding train of thoughts across the surface.

Maybe I’ve been thinking or worrying too much about everything.

About 1 month to the deadline for submission of my Final Year Project. I’ve got to remember to work on that as well.

I must make time for work but also for play or I’m going to end up being drained and exhausted.

Forgive me friends, if I make time for some but not others. Sometimes I just feel I need to talk or hang out with a certain person for the moment. There are some things you can talk to with one person but not another.
