Lego and nothing better to do

In reference to the previous post… I didn’t go get doughnuts in the end but that’s not really the point of this post.

I remember how when I was a kid, one thing that kept me happy was putting together little bits of Lego blocks to make all sorts of things.

After seeing this, I can safely say that all of my so-called creations amount to nothing.

My childhood feels slightly ruined now.

Anything for a sweet treat

I am currently craving doughnuts from Pasir Ris. It’s all Lime’s fault.

By the way Lime, the hand puppet made me laugh.

I think I might get some from there before I head to school tomorrow. Yup, even though my school is in the complete opposite direction.

Just a little detour for something that will brighten up my day.

…What? I have a sweet-tooth. A pretty big one at that.

Updated “About”

Added a new link out to Jitendra’s Blog.

Updated the “About” page. It was sitting in my drafts for a while actually but I decided to post it up now to get it off my mind.

Soon enough I’ll have a photos page… Maybe I’ll upload them elsewhere and just put links on that page?

Got 2 exams to go… I’ll think about it when they’re over.

Apocalyptica - Quutamo

Apocalyptica with the song “Quutamo”. It’s a lot faster than the previous song I put up.

3 guys wearing black, metal chains and long hair headbanging to classical music… I have to admit it looks a bit funny.

So learn from it people! Don’t stereotype based on looks.

Apocalyptica - Nothing Else Matters

This is Apocalyptica playing the song “Nothing Else Matters” as an instrumental. The original vocal version by Metallica was already pretty awesome to begin with, this version blew me away.

I like it very much, yup!

Phone calls are faster in many ways

So weird.

I just had a voice conversation with someone over MSN. It’s almost like using a real phone. I actually prefer voice calls to instant-messages, they feel more personal. I’d call people more often but it starts to hurt the pocket. It’s cheaper to use my home phone but who am I going to call in the middle of the night?

I like talking to people one-on-one… Even today, I took the train with one of my friends, we chatted a lot. She even decided to alight a station later so we could talk for just a bit longer, haha. I may be anti-social but I’ll make time for you if you’re my friend! So give me a call folks, or let me know if I can drop you a line randomly for a chat.

Next time I talk to my friend, we’re going to put our webcams to good use! I’m glad to know someone likes webcams too, really makes it worth the money.

What’s up with skinny jeans?

Since someone asked… Yes, I’m feeling better. Not sick anymore, that is.

I was freaking out yesterday because my left ear had seemed to lost its hearing. Today it was okay again, in fact, I got my normal hearing back. I actually had to lower the volume on my (stupid) MP3 player to my usual volume. Yay, the healing process is taking place.

I’m wondering if my whole source of sickness stemmed from my weekend. On Saturday, I went to St. James Powerstation with a few of my friends. One of them was Ming Yang. Now, Ming Yang really, really likes beer. So we got some. That plus a serious lack of sleep… Damn, I was just asking for it, wasn’t I?

Yesterday was really fun though, surprisingly. AJ and I have some sort of weird telepathy going on apparently. I messaged him to ask if he wanted to have lunch together… Just as he was about to do the same. Haha. My classmate said great minds think alike. Feels really cheesy to use it here but how often does that happen? I call it being on the same frequency.

We didn’t feel like eating in school so we headed to town. After a lot of deliberation, we finally decided to wait for the Sakae Sushi teatime buffet. It was such a long time since I’d eaten there, it was double the fun going again with AJ. Don’t get things wrong people… We’re not together or anything, he’s just one of my best friends at school. Yeah I know, the anti-social Ruby actually made friends, aww </sarcasm>.

I was asking him about emo clothes so he showed me this place (I think it was near Peninsula Plaza?) where it was, according to him, some sort of emo underground. I wanted to laugh when we got there. Many of the stores had signs proudly proclaiming that they sold skinny jeans (and in one case, super skinny jeans). It was really cool to walk around though, something different from your usual shopping malls. Maybe I’d go again but not on my own, I’m a little wary of the large groups of guys that I saw hanging out there (most of them in matching skinny jeans). Should have taken some pictures.

Speaking of which, I ought to post up some pictures soon… Too bad I’ve got to filter through the lot, some of them look a little suspicious/scandalous from the angle (taking pics with one hand tends to do that). Term tests and exams coming soon though, so that has to wait until I’m bored or I’m done with them.

Okay… I want to go do work now and Leticia is staring at me (we’re in the school library). Our project meeting was totally… Well… It lasted for about half an hour only because we were both unprepared. Oh well. Got to make up for that after exams. (Leticia: “I hope Mrs Sia doesn’t read this…” Me: “Me too…”)
